Your recipe workspace
Neither the browser version nor the downloaded app sends your ingredients, nutrition values, recipes, or portion plans to RecipeTool. Both use browser storage on your device when available. Backup files and CSV reports are saved where you choose, and print output goes to the printer or file destination you select.
Browser storage is not encrypted by the app. Anyone with access to your device or exported files may be able to read your data. Deleting browser data can remove the saved workspace. Keep editable backups if you want to preserve your work.
Checkout and download access
Stripe processes payments and collects the information needed for checkout, which may include your email, billing details, and payment information. RecipeTool does not receive your full card number. Stripe handles that information under its privacy policy.
RecipeTool uses payment session and order information to confirm payment, provide the download, handle refunds, and help with order problems. Your download link and your Studio link include an access credential. Keep them private, as someone with a link may be able to use it. When you open the browser version, recipetool.net stores that credential in one strictly necessary cookie (rps_app) so the app files load. The cookie does not contain your recipes.
Website requests
Opening these pages, checking out, and downloading sends ordinary web request information, such as your IP address, browser details, and requested URL, to the hosting and payment services. Your recipes are separate from these web requests. If analytics is on, these pages also report visits to Google Analytics, as the RecipeTool privacy notice explains.
The product pages do not require a RecipeTool account. The Studio app, in the browser or offline, does not use advertising or analytics services. Other RecipeTool pages may have their own privacy notices.
Support and records
If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you send. Share only what is needed to explain the problem. We may need to retain payment and support records to fulfill orders, process refunds, prevent fraud, and meet recordkeeping obligations.
Your choices
You can export or delete your local workspace and delete the backup files you control. To ask about personal information connected to an order, or request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, email [email protected]. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legal obligations.
